Although Madonna is not your typical 65-year-old, most 65-year-olds wouldn’t be found out on the town attending a play in London’s West End that features explicit scenes.
Seated in her own box at the Noël Coward Theatre on Saturday night, the American singer saw a play that has been called one of the’most startling’ to ever grace a London stage.
The X-rated drama Slave Play, which debuted earlier this month, has drawn criticism for how it depicts mixed-race relationships, how frequently it uses racial slurs, and how graphically it depicts s****l activity, including a 10-minute nude sex scene with Kit Harington of Game of Thrones.
The set features a wall of mirrors that let spectators in from all directions to get a clear picture of the activity taking place on stage.
However, in order to prevent leaks and preserve the actor’s modesty, theater owners have been forced to impose stickers that restrict cameras on cell phones.
